About Me

I live in Maldon in Essex and have been passionate about photography since childhood. I love everything about it; the anticipation of the shoot, the shoot itself and creating the final images in post production.

I have always been a great fan of Nikon equipment and used their film cameras for many years. I finally moved to digital in 2005.

In September 2008, I held a month long solo exhibition at the Gallery in Chelmsford Central Library. I received some very positive feedback and this inspired me to have some of the exhibits placed in a local shop for sale as limited edition framed prints.

Until June 2022 I was using a Nikon D850 professional DSLR and Nikon pro lenses which are amazing. However, I decided the time was right to go Mirrorless. I finally received the new flagship Z9 mirrorless camera and five new lenses in July 2022 after a wait of more than eight months and am very much enjoying using them. I have since purchased further lenses and Nikon Z8 and Nikon ZF camera bodies.

I have had a number of pictures published in the Essex Chronicle as "Photo of the Week." I also was very pleased to have had a photo published in "Digital Camera" magazine.

In 2023, I became even more passionate about wildlife photography and have taken numerous pictures of birds which I have now put into a separate gallery on the website. I have also produced a 2024 Essex Birds calendar. In 2024, I hope to expand the range of subjects I shoot to include action and sports.

Best wishes

Peter
